#CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has guiding rails (5, 15) integrated to a floor (6) of a platform (2). A movable carriage (7) has a guiding portion (8) arranged in slide connection with the rails and a pivoting portion (9) pivoting with respect to the portion (8), where the carriage is movable in translation with respect to the platform. The portion (9) has two support arms (10, 11) supporting a canoe and to be retracted after setting canoe in water. A hauling winch (27) permits to lift the canoe out of water and to position the canoe on the arms. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used with platform of a pleasure ship, for lifting and setting a canoe in water (claimed), for joining a wharf, when the ship cannot be shored and in case of shipwreck for evacuating a ship. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The hauling winch permits to lift the canoe out of water and to position the canoe on the support arms in simple, reliable and efficient manner. The two support arms of the pivoting portion are retracted after setting the canoe in the water, thus permitting total release of the place occupied by the canoe. The device avoids generation of any protuberance so as to accidentally wound a user of the ship at the level of plane surface defined by the platform.
