PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation and knockdown method of a three-phase transformer in which the amount of insulation oil used is reduced and through which the installation cost can be reduced while shortening the term of work and the reliability is enhanced by suppressing the effect of humidity and dust. SOLUTION: A three-phase transformer 1 assembled in a factory is decomposed into three transformer bodies 5 of one phase which are then enclosed with a dustproof cover 6, contained separately in each transportation tank 7 and transported to the spot. Under a state where the upper portion of a transformer tank 2 installed thereat is opened partially, the transformer bodies 5 are suspended from the opening 11 of the transformer tank 2 and installed therein while blowing clean air of low humidity. Subsequently, the position of the upper opening 11 of the transformer tank 2 is shifted and the transformer bodies 5 for one phase are installed sequentially in the transformer tank 2 thus assembling the three-phase transformer 1.
