PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing device for assuring recorded contents in a sector unit even when power is interrupted during recording of information for a DVD-R disk in a VR mode. SOLUTION: While recording information for the DVD-R disk, contents of an operation state are stored in a flash memory as power interruption information. Power interruption is caused during the recording of information for the disk and the a power source of the device is turned off, after that the power source is turned on. When the device is started, power interruption information is read from the flash memory, and the control is performed so that information recorded in the optical disk before power interruption is assured in a sector unit by performing the prescribed processing based on the power interruption information. Thereby, the recorded contents can be assured in a sector unit even when power is interrupted while recording information for the DVD-R disk with the VR mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
