The beam (1) has a wall (4) bordering an outer side of a longitudinal base (2) having a rail, where the wall is perpendicular to the base. The wall laterally retains wheels of a passenger train during derailment of the train. A core is embedded in rail`s support parts (5), where the parts (5) are provided with inserts, and a metallic element is connected to the core by soldering. Drainage parts (6) are situated between the parts (5), and have a slope that descends from the wall. A baseplate is interposed between a flange and the parts (5). An independent claim is also included for a method of installing rails to form a rail track.
