<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file delete method which can perform delete processing at high speed when deleting a file which satisfies prescribed conditions. <P>SOLUTION: In the file delete method of this invention, a computer or a file processing device performs processing to output an instruction corresponding to a delete instruction of a file which satisfies prescribed conditions of an application to a device driver side. This method is provided with; a step to acquire directory entry information of a storage location directory of a file to be deleted from a real data area in a secondary storage to a primary storage; a step to apply a delete mark to a file in an acquired directory entry on the primary storage when the file in the acquired directory entry satisfies the prescribed conditions and is to be deleted; a step to write the result of the delete mark applying processing in corresponding part of the real data area in the secondary storage; and a step to release FAT information held at a FAT in the secondary storage corresponding to the file in which the delete mark is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
