PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improved in riding comfort and operation stability, while maintaining durability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a pair of bead parts 1, a pair of side wall parts 2 and a tread part 3 continued to both the side wall parts 2, and the pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass 4 toroidally extended between the pair of bead parts so as to reinforce each of them, crossing belt layers 5a and 5b formed of at least two layers and arranged outside the crown part of the carcass part 4 in the tire radial direction, and a spiral belt layer 5c arranged outside the crossing belt layers 5a and 5b in the tire radial direction and formed of at least one layer of rubber coated layer formed by arranging the cords, which are spirally extended along the tire circumferential direction, in parallel with each other. In the spiral belt layer 5c in the circumferential direction, a cord is used having a tensile elasticity of 30 GPa or more at 25±5°C and a bending rigidity of 40N×mm<SP>2</SP>or less.
