<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fixture assemblies 20, 50 and an inspection method capable of readily inspecting an internal diameter and/or concentricity of a segmented annular seal 12, and optionally selectively measuring them. <P>SOLUTION: This fixture assembly 20, 50 has at least two fixture segments 21, 51 supported on a base 30, 60, by which an annular fixture housing 22, 52 is defined having an outer rim 28, 58 and a groove 24, 54 with a cross-sectional shape corresponding to a cross-sectional shape of the annular seal 12. The fixture assembly 20, 50 further includes a device or apparatus for assessing at least one dimensional characteristic of the annular seal 12 when installed in the groove 24, 54 of the fixture housing 22, 52 and as the assessing device/apparatus travels along the interior circumference 26, 56 of the fixture housing 22, 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
