A display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to normally apply a data signal to a pixel electrode even if a data line is disconnected, by using a conductive line electrically connected to the data line. A gate line(121) is formed on a substrate(111). A first insulating layer(126) is formed to cover the gate line. A data line(131) is formed on the first insulating layer, wherein the data line crosses the gate line. A second insulating layer(136) is formed to cover the data line. A conductive line(141) is formed on the second insulating layer. The conductive line is disposed in parallel with the data line, and electrically connected to the data line.
