The invention relates to a method for operating a vegetable oil-block heating and power station using a combustion engine which drives a generator, the combustion engine being associated with an engine control system which regulates engine power. In order to achieve optimum power output at the same time as a reliable and trouble-free operation, the engine power is regulated as a function of the exhaust gas temperature, the exhaust gas temperature being maintained at a constant or almost constant level. |
