The method involves reading authorization data, which are stored on an electronic data carrier carried by a customer, with a reading device in a shop. The data read with the reading device are converted into a barcode by a program. The barcode is represented on a barcode display device (17) and are read with a barcode-read device (19) for applying the data read as barcode to a point of sale (24) of the shop. The data carrier is formed by a radio frequency identification (RFID) data carrier and the read device is formed in the shop by a RFID read device. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for collecting authorization data of a customer in a shop of a company.
