The arrangement has a phase detector (33) for controlling an oscillator (39), which compares the phase of a comparison signal derived from a main-reference signal with the phase of a comparison signal derived from an auxiliary-reference signal, when a device is a master device. Another phase detector (38) is provided for controlling the oscillator, which compares the phase of a third comparison signal derived from the main-reference signal with the phase of a reference signal, which is derived from a phase-synchronization-unit of the master device, when the device is a slave device.
