METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OXIDE CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and reproducibly manufacture an oxide catalyst which is used for producing unsaturated aldehyde and/or unsaturated carboxylic acid by subjecting propylene or the like to vapor-phase catalytic oxidation using molecular oxygen and is excellent in catalytic activity and selectivity.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the oxide catalyst comprises a step of preparing a liquid raw material comprising a molybdenum raw material containing molybdenum, a bismuth raw material containing bismuth and an iron raw material containing iron. Bismuth trioxide having ≤40 mass ppm sodium content is used as the bismuth raw material.
