PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized endoscope provided with a driving mechanism for curving a curve part. SOLUTION: At the base part 32 of the endoscope, a driving source unit 62 is disposed. The driving source unit 62 comprises a first frame 112, a second frame 114, a motor 116, a gear box 118 and a potentiometer 120. The gear box 118 has a horizontal direction power transmission mechanism 118a for transmitting power from the motor 116 in a horizontal direction and a planetary gear mechanism 118b for transmitting the power in a vertical direction from the horizontal direction power transmission mechanism 118a. Thus, since the power from the motor 116 can be output from the opposite side of the motor 116, the space of the base part 32 can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
