BOTTOM CHASSIS WITH OPTICAL SHEETS FIXTURE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

A lower chassis with an optical sheet fixing member and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) adapting the same are provided to form the optical sheet fixing member during the press processing for making the lower chassis. A backlight assembly is arranged at the lower portion of an LCD panel and includes an optical sheet, a diffusion plate and a lamp unit. A lower chassis(500) includes an optical sheet fixing member for supporting the optical sheet and the diffusion plate. At least a portion of a sidewall of the lower chassis is incised so that an incision inside region member is formed. The incision inside region member is also curved and extended until a predetermined position of the upper surface of the lower chassis so that a protrusion base(540) is formed. A fixing protrusion(560) is upwardly protruded from the protrusion base. A fixing hole corresponding to the fixing protrusion is formed at the optical sheet and inserted into the fixing protrusion.
