ANTIMICROBIAL CYCLIC PEPTIDES

The invention relates to novel cyclic peptides with antimicrobial properties. The inventive peptides contain an even number of between 4 and 10 amino acids and a have a molar lysine concentration of between 40 % and 60 %. The invention also relates to the synthesis and use of the aforementioned peptides as antimicrobial agents against bacterial and fungi that are pathogenic to plants. The invention further relates to compositions containing said peptides and an auxiliary agent and to a method for preventing and treating infections and diseases in plants caused by pathogenic bacteria and fungi.
