PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To include an embedded web server, and to dialogize a user of a remote computer with a mass spectrometer via a web browser or an optional another HTTP client. SOLUTION: This mass spectrometer includes the embedded web server 218 for providing one or more web pages to client computers 126, 128 under the condition where a data is communicated with the mass spectrometer 100 via a network 202. The user can access the one or more web pages via the web browser, can thereby read the data from the mass spectrometer, and/or can control various functions of the mass spectrometer.
