PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine rotation sensor whose signal plate can bear high speed rotation without increase in cost. SOLUTION: In the engine rotation sensor, the signal plate 2 is installed on the same radius as transmission mounting holes 1b of a drive plate 1, and detected projections 2a of the signal plate 2 are set as objects to be detected, so that an engine rotation state is detected. The signal plate 2 is provided with reinforcement rib parts 2b bent in an axial direction of the drive plate 1 so that the reinforcement rib parts 2b avoid positions of the transmission mounting holes 1b of the drive plate 1.
