<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability for an inspection, a maintenance and a replacement, facilitate understanding of a situation within a grounded container, a replacement of an arrester element, a calibration of various measuring instruments, an installation, an inspection and a replacement of sensors for understanding the situation within the grounded container, and also improve the detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In a gas insulated power device, a conductor 2 is accommodated as an insulative gas is sealed within the grounded container 1, and supported by an insulation spacer 3 in a state that the conductor 2 is floated from the grounded container 1. The gas insulated power device is provided with a partition space 5 disposed within the insulation spacer 3, air-tightly partitioned from a space 4 within the grounded container 1 and extending from a face 3a on the grounded container 1 side to the conductor 2 or a member (a conductive sleeve) 3b electrically connected to the conductor 2, a hole 6 disposed in a region for facing the partition space 5 of the grounded container 1, and an occlusion member 7 for openably occluding the hole 6.
