A method for sharing line memories in an image processing system is provided to share line memories for processing a poor pixel and performing color interpolation to reduce the volume of the image processing system. An image processing system includes a poor pixel corrector(210) for receiving 6x6 data, correcting a poor pixel of the data and outputting 1-pixel data, a color interpolator(220) for receiving 5x5 data and performing color interpolation of the data, 5 line memories used to input the 6x6 data to the poor pixel corrector, and 4 line memories used to input the 5x5 data to the color interpolator. Outputs of four line memories for storing the output signal of the poor pixel corrector and inputting the output signal to the color interpolator are inputted to the poor pixel corrector. The poor pixel corrector and the color interpolator share four line memories.
