PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can maintain precision of a clamp level at a high level. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with a first imaging element comprising a transfer output unit which transfers and outputs electric charge accumulated in each pixel of an effective pixel series and light shading pixels, through a first transfer route and a second transfer route; a clamp unit which clamps output electric charge of a plurality of the shading pixels output through the second transfer route; a second imaging element which measures distribution of an object light volume input to the effective pixel of the first imaging element; a first discrimination unit which detects a first discrimination pixel outputting a signal level more than a threshold value out of pixels of the second imaging element; a second discrimination unit which extracts a second discrimination pixel from a pixel series corresponding to the electric charge transfer direction out of pixels of the second imaging element making the first imaging element as a reference, and simultaneously detects the signal level of the second discrimination pixels; and a clamp control unit which makes the clamp unit change the clamp range, based on signal levels of the first discrimination pixel and the second discrimination pixel.
