PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering device capable of accelerating dehydration by pressing a cake and controlling the pressure density. SOLUTION: The filter device is provided with a cylindrical or conical inner side filtering material 1 arranged concentrically, an outer side filtering material 2, and a spiral partition 3 installed in a filtering space 4 between the inner side filtering material 1 and the outer side filtering material 2. The spiral partition 3 is not rotated but only the inner side filtering material 1 and/or the outer side filtering material 2 is rotated around the axis center. In this operation process, a liquid to be filtered is fed to the filtering space 4 from the one end side, is filtered through the inner side filtering material 1, and is filtered through the outer side filtering material 2, and the respective filtrates are discharged to the outside and the cake is discharged from the other end side of the filtering space 4 through a transferring flow passage 27.
