A method for certificating authenticity of a product by using a certification number is provided to fundamentally block distribution of an abnormal product owing to illegal copy by using selective online certification including a frequent open certification number and a one-time certification password. The frequent open certification number and the one-time certification password are generated/assigned to the product(204). The assigned open certificate number and one-time certification password is stored to a certification database(208). IF a terminal requests the certification by transmitting the open certification number of the product to a certification service server, the authenticity of the product is certified by searching the database. A certification result for the open certification number is transmitted to the terminal. If the terminal requests the certification by transmitting the certification password of the product, the authenticity of the product is certified by searching the database. If the certification password is valid, a certification state of the certification password is recorded to the database. The certification result for the certification password is transmitted to the terminal. |
