<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processor capable of performing mail notification setting efficiently, when notifying information related to the operation of documents and folders by electronic mail. <P>SOLUTION: The mail notification setting of a folder and that of a parent folder of a document are acquired from each folder management table 302, when the folder and document are to be operated, respectively. When it is determined that a mail needs to be notified from the acquired mail notification setting, the details of mail notification conditions in a rule list stored in the mail notification setting are acquired from a mail notification condition table 306, and it is determined whether an operation immediately before is to be notified as specified in mail notification conditions.
