<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of detecting degradation, and informing the degradation, and free from a lack of hot water even when degradation of a heat insulating material occurs. <P>SOLUTION: In this hot water storage type water heater comprising a hot water storage tank 1, a vacuum heat insulating material 3 coating the hot water storage tank 1, and a heating means 6 for heating the water in the hot water storage tank 1, an abnormality judging means 7 is disposed to judge the abnormality of vacuum heat insulating material 3 of the hot water storage tank 1, thus the degradation of heat insulating performance caused by aged deterioration of the vacuum heat insulating material 3, or the degradation of heat insulating performance caused by abnormality of the vacuum heat insulating material 3 generated in construction and transportation, can be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
