APPARATUS FOR DETECTING BREAKING OF POWER LINE AND SIGNAL LINE

An apparatus for detecting disconnection of a power line and a signal line is provided to detect disconnection of a power line or a signal line without using an additional wire to facilitate fault diagnosis and recovery. An apparatus(200) for detecting a disconnection state of a power line and a signal line in a cable includes a DC bias circuit(211) and an analog-to-digital converter(213). The DC bias circuit biases a power supply voltage to a recognizable DC voltage within a predetermined range according to an increase in the impedance between a remote board(200) and the apparatus when the power line or the signal line is broken. The analog-to-digital converter converts the DC voltage output from the DC bias circuit into digital data by which disconnection is judged.
