An easily maintainable and repairable elastomeric bearing for a bridge is provided to perform maintenance and repair works for a support member when the support member which limits the horizontal displacement of a bridge is separated or damaged. The easily maintainable and repairable elastomeric bearing for a bridge comprises an upper plate(10) fixed to an upper structure of a bridge, a lower plate(20) fixed to a lower structure, a rubber pad(30) placed between the upper plate and the lower plate, an upper wedge projected to the lower part of the upper plate, a lower wedge provided with one or more female screws(22a) and projected to the upper part of the lower plate, a support member(40) located at a certain distance from the upper wedge to limit the horizontal movement of the upper wedge according to the horizontal displacement of the bridge and provided with through holes(42) corresponding to the female screws of the lower wedge, and a fastener composed of primary bolts(50) provided with a female screw(52) and secondary bolts(60) coupled to the female screw of the primary bolt via the through hole of the support member and fixing the support member to the lower wedge to make the upper wedge break off when the upper wedge makes a horizontal movement beyond the limited range by a strong wind, an earthquake, etc. |
