<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling joist mounter capable of preventing a ceiling structural member from falling by suppressing the fall down of the ceiling joist mounter during an earthquake and a ceiling joist mounting device. <P>SOLUTION: This ceiling joist mounting device 5 comprises two ceiling joist mounters 7; 8. The mounting part of one ceiling joist mounter 8 comprises an upper side loading part 85 placed on the upper surface of the loading part of the other ceiling joist mounter 7 placed on the upper surface of the upper plate part of a ceiling joist 6 and a mounting operation part extending downward along the outer surface of the support part of the other ceiling joist mounter from the end of the upper side loading part by bending it through the portion thereof corresponding to the end edge of the upper plate part. The mounting operation part comprises a covering part 88 covering the outer surface of the support part of the other ceiling joist mounter and locking parts 89; 90. The locking parts are bent to move near a vertical plate part through the boundary part thereof with the covering part 88 so that they come just below the lower surface 31a of the upper plate part 31.
