<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal apparatus which dispenses with a space necessary for individually providing a silencer so that the apparatus can be downsized by affording a deodorization device a silencing function. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorization device 34 has a silencing structure decreasing an exhaust noise during the course through which the air to be deodorize passes, that is, a partition plate 34a3 dividing an inner case 34a into an inlet side chamber CH1 and an outlet side chamber CH2 and a communicating hole 34a4 providing on the partition plate 34a3 so as to function a silencing structure of a two-step expansion type that each of the two chambers CH1, CH2 becomes an expansion chamber for silencing.
