An apparatus for bolting a timing chain cover of an engine is provided to stably set the position of bolt and support the bolt by using a positioning plate and a clamping unit. An apparatus for bolting a timing chain cover of an engine includes a base(1), a positioning plate(5), a rotation unit, and elevation unit, a plurality of nut runners(9), and a clamping unit. The positioning plate supports a plurality of bolts supplied from the upper side to the lower side. The rotation unit rotates the positioning plate. The elevation unit moves the positioning plate and the rotation unit upward and downward with respect to the base. The nut runners are linearly moved in a horizontal direction toward an engine block with respect to the base and perform a bolting work by the rotation thereof. If the bolt supported by the positioning plate is inserted into the nut runners horizontally, the clamping unit restricts and supports a sank part of the bolt.
