The present invention discloses an orthopedic shoe and a method for manufacturing the same. The shoe comprises a structure for housing a hanging insole where the user's feet rests. A vacuum chamber is formed between the hanging insole and the sole structure, so that the user may experience a floating feeling. An orthopedic shoe is thus obtained which, due to the structure thereof along with the hanging insole, allow abnormal step variations to be corrected, and the height of the air chamber may be adjusted for those people who have leg length inequality. The present invention also helps to eliminate malodors in shoes since an air exchange is promoted in the air chamber located in the cavity where the feet is introduced, the shoe may be a casual shoe, trainers or any sports shoe.
