PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus for accurately measuring the residual capacity of a battery. SOLUTION: The electric apparatus such as a motor-driven tool includes a secondary battery 21, a motor M, a trigger switch for operating the motor M, a load control part 121 for controlling electric power supplied from the secondary battery 21 to the motor M, a voltage-measuring part 13 for measuring the voltage of the secondary battery 21, a residual capacity calculation part 122 for calculating the residual capacity on the basis of the voltage of the measured secondary battery 21, a residual capacity determination part 123 for determining whether a calculated residual capacity is a threshold or less, and a notifying part 15 for performing prescribed notification when determining that the residual capacity is the threshold or less. The residual capacity calculation part 122 calculates the residual capacity on the basis of the voltage of the secondary battery 21 measured with the voltage-measuring part 13 after passage of a voltage restoration time when the electric power supplied to the motor M is stopped in response to operation of the trigger switch.
