PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking stove with high safety and high usability by effectively utilizing a burner installation area, in a constitution where an operating portion is provided on an upper face of a top plate. SOLUTION: The glass top plate 3 is supported by a top plate protecting member 18 having a metallic frame 19, at its three sides, the remaining one side is supported by an exhaust cover 14 in a state of covering an end face, at least one or more stove burners 4a, 4b are disposed on the glass top plate 3, and one stove burner 4c is disposed on the exhaust cover 14. Further the operating portion 8 and a display portion 9 are disposed on a front side end portion of the glass top plate 3, a grill pan 5c is slidably movable inside and outside of a grill case 5b by movable rails 5f slidably engaged with two fixed rails 5e disposed outside of the grill case 5b, and a click feeling generating means 28 utilizing repulsion force and attraction force of magnet, is disposed on a proper part within a sliding range, of the grill pan 5c to have variation in sliding force within the sliding range of the grill pan 5c.
