<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerization catalyst which yields a polyester excellent in transparency, the polyester produced using the same, and a production method of the polyester. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerization catalyst for the polyester contains at least one chosen from aluminum and an aluminum compound as a metal-containing component and at least one phosphorous compound of the formula: (R<SP>1</SP>)n-A-(P=O)(OR<SP>2</SP>)(OR<SP>3</SP>) (wherein A is a 6-50C aromatic ring structure or a 4-50C heterocycle structure; n is 1-10; R<SP>1</SP>is a substituent and represents a 1-20C hydrocarbon group or a 1-20C alkoxy group; and R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a 1-20C hydrocarbon group or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group containing a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group, provided that the hydrocarbon group optionally has an alicyclic structure, a branched structure or an aromatic ring structure). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
