A sliding-type portable terminal is provided to form products more slimly with regular formation strength by using a metallic material so as to form the rear case of a sliding part more slimly with regular formation strength and forming a molding part at a region of the rear case which is exposed to the external when the sliding part is opened. A sliding-type portable terminal comprises a main body, a sliding part(200), and an elastic member(400). The sliding part(200) comprises a rear case(210) and a molding part(220). The rear case(210), made of a metallic material, is combined with the main body so as to make a relative sliding motion. The molding part(220) is formed at a region of the rear case(210), which is exposed to the external when the sliding part(200) makes a sliding motion for the main body, in a single unit. The molding part(220) is formed together with the rear case(210) by insert injection molding. The elastic member(400), of which one end is connected to the main body and the other end is connected to the sliding part(200), elastically supports the sliding motion of the sliding part(200) for the main body.
