<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of preventing generation of unnecessary display light in a non-display state. <P>SOLUTION: In a diffraction optical element 9, a liquid crystal member 24 having a diffraction display part 24B wherein a refractive index type diffraction grating is formed is held between a pair of glass substrates 20 and 21. Electrode patterns 31a for marking are formed respectively on facing surfaces of the glass substrates 20 and 21 and insulating layers 33 are formed in peripheral regions of the electrode patterns 31a for marking on the glass substrates 20 and 21. Peripheral electrode patterns 34 are formed on the insulating layers 33. As a result, the electrode patterns 31a and 34 can be formed so that edges of the electrode patterns 31 for marking and edges of the peripheral electrode patterns 34 formed on the insulating layers 33 come into contact with each other when viewed from the direction vertical to the glass substrates 20 and 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
