PURPOSE:To prevent formation of rimples in the overlaying floor carpet by reducing the thickness at the lower section of an insulator arranged at the indoor side of a dash lower panel and lapping the front section of a noise shield sheet over said lower section. CONSTITUTION:In an insulator 2 arranged at the indoor side of a dash lower panel 1, the lower portion 2Ba of the skin material 2B is folded by the thickness W1 of a noise shielding sheet 4 to be laid over the floor panel 3 in the direction of the dash lower panel 1 while a noise absorbing material 2A is made thin corrrespondingly. Consequently, the thickness W2 at the lower end section of the insulator 2 is made thinner than the thickness W3 at other portion. The front end section 4a of the noise shielding sheet 4 is made extendable to the lower end section 2a of the insulator 2 having a reduced thickness to improve the noise shielding performance while the noise shielding sheet 4 is laid smoothly and continuously over the entire area thus to prevent occurrence of rimples in the overlaying floor carpet 5. |
