The contact (1) has a pressing area (3) electrically contactable with a track of a printed circuit board and insertable and fixable in an opening of the board. The pressing area has a slot (4) in an area of the opening, where the slot and a side piece (7) formed in the slot are dimensioned in such a manner that the side piece is attached to inner surfaces of the opening under pre-stressing after pressing the contact into the opening. A contacting area (5) fixes and electrically contacts ends of an electric conductor of a cable.
