Remote duplex receptacle systems ( 1600, 1600 <SUP>1</SUP>) are used with power poles ( 1622 ), walls, floors or the like. One receptacle system ( 1600 ) includes a junction box ( 1602 ) with a conduit ( 1608 ) and patch cord ( 1614 ) extending therefrom. The system ( 1600 ) is programmable using a wand ( 892 ) to effect control relationships between the system ( 1600 ) and controlling devices ( 967 ).
