A flame-retardant resin composition which comprises 30 to 90 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (A) having a JIS hardness of A98 or below as determined according to JIS K 7311, 70 to 10 parts by weight of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (B) having a vinyl acetate unit content of 50 to 90wt%, 0 to 40 parts by weight of at least one polymer (C) selected from among (C1) an ethylene/unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative copolymer modified with an acid anhydride, (C2) an epoxy-containing ethylene/olefin copolymer, and (C3) a styrene elastomer modified with an acid anhydride (with the proviso that the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C) is 100 parts by weight), and 40 to 250 parts by weight of a metal hydroxide (D) (per 100 parts by weight of the resin component consisting of the components (A), (B) and (C)).
