<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of tape forming significiantly by a method wherein, after resin is formed into sheet or tape with a specified thickness while crosslinking agent is not added, the crosslinking agent is added to the sheet or the tape to manufacture uncrosslinking tape with crosslinking agent. SOLUTION: After additives other than crosslinking agent are added to base resin composed of low density polyethylene, sheet is formed by an inflation forming machine and the formed sheet is dipped into liquid crosslinking agent bath at a certain temperature for a certain time to impregnate the sheet with a specified content of the crosslinking agent. The sheet impregnated with the crosslinking agent is stored in a thermostat for a certain time to diffuse the crosslinking agent in the sheet uniformly. The sheet with diffused crosslinking agent is sheared into tapes to manufacture polyethylene tapes with crosslinking agent. The polyethylene tape is wound around the conductor joint sleeve 4 and cable insulators 2a of power cables 2 to form a reinforced insulating layer 8.</p> |
