<p>An elevator device in which a weighing device produces a signal corresponding to a load placed in an elevator car. The weighing device is automatically inspected by a weigher inspection section. The weigher inspection section generates a command for causing testing operation of the car and detects an abnormality of the weighing device based on a signal outputted in the testing operation from the weighing device.</p>
