PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degrees of freedom for positioning rotary elements by pressing a piezoelectric resonator with a friction element between two rotary elements with a preloading force and allowing each of the friction element to operate one of the rotary elements for exciting the vibration mode of the piezoelectric resonator. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric resonator 4 with a first drive member 10 and a second drive member 11 is retained between a first drive shaft 1 and a second drive shaft 2 under a preloading force F. The first drive member 10 and the second drive member 11 impart a friction force to the first drive shaft 1 and the second drive shaft 2, respectively, so that the first drive shaft 1 and the second drive shaft 2 rotate and are driven in the same rotating direction by the vibration piezoelectric resonator 4. By giving a control signal from a first control unit 9 to a second electrode 5b and a grounding electrode, the vibration piezoelectric resonator 4 can also generate an elliptical vibration mode for directing it opposite to a vibration mode, thus inverting the rotary directions of the first drive shaft 1 and the second drive shaft 2. |
