Device for combusting organic materials comprises a countercurrent heat exchanger (8) having a heat exchanger wall (9) on the outer side of the heat insulation (3) of the combustion chamber (2) with an upper waste gas outlet (7) opening into a housing (1). Heat exchangers (6) for heating a heat carrier with the waste heat from the hot waste gases are provided in the upper interstices (4) produced between the combustion chamber and the housing and run parallel to the combustion chamber. The flow channel (11) of the countercurrent heat exchanger for the combustion air starts from interstices whilst the heat exchanger wall with the flow channel extends into the interstices. Preferred Features: The flow channel of the countercurrent heat exchanger opens into the combustion chamber between the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger wall in the region of the waste gas outlet. |
