An apparatus for adjusting the valve clearance of an engine for a vehicle is provided to adjust the valve clearance simply and easily without using a clearance gauge. In an apparatus for adjusting the valve clearance of an engine for a vehicle, a support is installed on one side of a bracket having a knob part. A driver(131) operated by a first nut runner(130) is vertically installed in the support, and operated resiliently upward and downward by a resilient member(132). A socket(141) operated by a second nut runner(140) is installed at a lower portion of the support. A hole(142) is formed on the upper surface of the socket. An end of the driver passes through the hole and is located within the socket. The rotation and reverse rotation of the driver by the first nut runner and the rotation and reverse rotation of the socket by the second nut runner associated with the first nut runner are controlled by a nut runner controller(150).
