The cover has a horizontal structure with a base curved with respect to an axis indented at its center, and a lever protruding in the ceiling of a lift within the lift car. When the lever is raised, the cover closes the hollow portion of the housing of a brake unit. When the handle is extended, the cover is released and the brake skid of the brake unit is then activated.
