An exchange system includes storage means for storing, as abbreviated dial numbers, connection destination telephone numbers associated with a sender ID of a terminal accessing the exchange system through a public line, and a central control unit which connects the terminal to one of the connection destination telephone numbers corresponding to an abbreviated dial number input by the terminal, when the terminal corresponding to the stored sender ID accesses the exchange system and input the abbreviated dial number.
