The proposed method for marking and identifying products implies marking each product by the individual code that corresponds to the coding key, whichis specified by the product manufacturer and may be periodically changed. The information on the coding keys to be used is stored in the data base of the product manufacturer. The product is identified by comparing the code indicated in the marking with the code corresponding to the specified codingkey. The individual code of the product contains such identification data as the data on the product manufacturer, the date of the manufacture of the product, and the type of the product. The identification of the product is accomplished at two stages. At the first stage, the identification data of the product are analyzed. At the second stage, the compliance of the product with the specified coding key is checked. The identification procedure is accomplished several times. The product is considered as inconsistent one if the compliance of the product with the specified coding key is not verified.
