PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochip or the like capable of easily detecting the position of a site. SOLUTION: A site region 62 is formed on the substrate 61 of the biochip 60 and a large number of sites are arranged on the site region 62 in a matrix state, and four markers 63 are provided around the site region 62. The sites of the site region 62 are formed by dripping spot liquids of a DNA solution or the like. Further, the markers 63 are formed by dripping an opaque liquid using the device used for forming the sites. Since the sites and the markers 63 are continuously formed by the spots due to the same device, the mutual positional relation of them is precisely prescribed. The substrate 61 is formed, for example, using glass. The substrate 61 may be transparent or may be opaque or reflective by providing a metal layer on the surface of the substrate 61.
