An apparatus for drying ceramic suspensions and pastes includes drying chamber with heaters, transportation device, vessels with suspension and heat-conductive elements. According to the invention heat-conductive elements are arranged as block of parallel plates connected to each other by partitions. The upper plate of block is on the surface of suspension or paste and is made of porous material, this creates conditions for prevention of crust formation. The lower plates are made of material with high heat conductivity and are perforated. Distances between each neighboring plates are taken different, this promotes the temperatures equalizing in layers of material being dried. The invention makes it possible to decrease time of drying 10-14 times compared to existing chamber devices and to increase quality of drying (absence of crust).
