PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of reducing the scale of a circuit for sequential processing for achieving sequential processing including a two-dimensional propagation process. SOLUTION: The two-dimensional propagation process included in the sequential processing is decomposed into two processes equivalent to it and comprising a vertical propagation process and a horizontal propagation process; the vertical propagation process is processed by using a one-dimensional SIMD (single instruction multiple data) type processor 41; and the horizontal propagation process is processed by using the circuit 81 for sequential processing. Thereby, since the number of bits of propagating input data can be reduced for the circuit 81 for sequential processing for achieving the sequential processing including the two-dimensional propagation process, a memory for table conversion can be downsized as compared with a conventional one and the scale of the circuit 81 for sequential processing can be reduced.
